Testimonials

Sharon McCormick

Clinical Director
Sharon is the Founder, Owner and Managing Director of The Listening Centre and has worked in the counselling sector industry for 23 years. A passionate and life-long ‘student’, she enjoys learning about the latest research in the wellbeing arena and helping people adopt a ‘trauma-informed’ approach so they can make better sense of their lived experiences and become empowered to challenge the cultural narrative of medicalising distress. Sharon’ current hobby is ballroom dancing, where she takes weekly classes to stop taking the lead and learn to trust her husband’s direction! Maybe one day she’ll make it to the famous Blackpool Ballroom! When given 5 words to describe herself, she mentions – compassionate, curious, passionate, astute and extrovert! What a cocktail!
